What would Albert do!

The season for many has drawn to a close and now is a good time to reflect on the year, your successes, what you’re most proud of and where things didn’t go to plan, before the 2024 training begins 😊

Remember to reflect on what it was that contributed to those achievements, and to focus on those elements that you had complete control over.  Its not just your physical fitness and preparation that will have contributed, our mental state plays a big part in the way we perform.  I find writing them down helps me to identify what worked well and where I need greater development.

With these thoughts and notes I can structure my training correctly to take me into the 2024 season fitter, stronger, faster.

Legato Race Team go Aero

Had a great day in Silverstone Windtunnel this weekend with team mates from Legato Racing Team perfecting our racing position ahead of the 2023 TT season.

We had the opportunity to test different skinsuits, helmets, bottles and wheels all under the watchful eye of Lee from Velo Atelier and Silverstone Sports Engineering technician.

Some gains made by all Legato RT riders and now 10 weeks of solid structured training in our new race positions, under the watchful eye of our coach, to optimise our performances out on the road.

A quick search on the internet I found Hells 500 a group from Australia who started it all off.  “Hells 500 was built on finding something difficult, and making it harder. It’s about tenacity, and pushing yourself beyond what you thought was possible. That’s what this crew is all about. It’s not about shortcuts, it’s about death by 1,000 cuts. Trainer difficulty needs to be at 100%, direct drive only for the steep hills on Zwift,

If in doubt, don’t look to someone else who you think got off easier – think what you can do to make your own harder.”

That was it I was hooked!

I just now needed to plan my own attempt.  Continue reading 8,848m meters of climbing in one ride – here we go!
